We record with one of the most dedicated public land mountain whitetail hunters I have ever heard of.  His name is Troy Pottenger and he resides in the Inland Northwest where he's arguably the most consistent archery hunter of big whitetails.  Troy has been at this game for decades and spends so much time figuring out smart and mature public land bucks that live a recluse lifestyle.

We dive deep into his year round tactics to not only find a buck to go after, but how he meticulously sets the stage to be in position anytime during the fall archery season.  Troy is the real deal and the knowledge bombs on this cast will make you rethink some of your best practices when it comes to whitetail behavior.

We are interviewing Dustin Coy (@cascades_hunting) about his passion for elk hunting, his marriage, and being a father to 7 children.  Dustin is 100% blue collar, by day he's a finish carpenter, but on the weekends he's chasing critters in the Northwest with his custom stick bow.  We chat about his success with general elk tags in WA and how he's finally going on his first elk hunt with a bow this fall.  We even get into his Alaskan adventure on Adak island.

So Travis Nowotny is one of the hunters I admire, he's extremely humble and dedicated.  I think he might be one of the most consistently successful public land hunters around, regardless of the species.  I've been wanting to get him on the line for a while and finally tracked him down.  Today we talk all things elk, deer, bear, sheep and wolves in Idaho.  You're going to learn from one of the best in this episode.
