    “No one reads emails anymore.”

Sound familiar? It's the myth that just won’t die—and in this episode, we’re putting it to rest once and for all.

If email was really dead, then why are the biggest brands on the planet still chasing your email address like it’s gold? (Spoiler: because it is.)

In this solo episode, I’m diving into why this myth exists, what’s actually going wrong when no one opens or clicks your emails, and how to flip the script so your subscribers can’t wait to hear from you.

You’ll walk away with practical tips for making your emails stand out, spark clicks, and actually lead to sales—without sounding like a robot or writing essays every time.

    Here’s what you’ll learn:
    • The real reason people think email doesn’t work anymore
    • How to stop writing emails that get ignored (and start writing ones people love)
    • Why email beats social media every single time—even in 2025
    • 3 simple tweaks to instantly increase your open and click rates
If you’ve been feeling discouraged about email marketing or wondering if it’s even worth the effort anymore, this is the pep talk and strategy combo you need.

  • EP 422 | Unreasonable hospitality featuring Madelyn Victoria
Madelyn Victoria helps small businesses create a marketing strategy through social media and ShowIt website design so they can turn their leads into sales.

By using her knowledge and experiences, she helps her clients transform their customers into cheerleaders and take their business to the next level.

Ever since she was in high school, Madelyn has always had some sort of online business or side hustle, but she was still determined to start her corporate career right after graduating from college.

But things never go quite as planned.

After college graduation, Madelyn decided to work several part-time jobs over the next couple of years so she could continue to test out her “side hustle,” which was Social Media Management at the time. Eventually, her business grew so much that she quit her part-time office job and went full-time.

Along the way, her clients began asking for more marketing advice, and Madelyn found that she loved helping them with their marketing goals. She then pivoted, becoming a marketing strategist. She hasn’t looked back and continues to grow, designing websites and taking over clients’ marketing.

Madelyn works as a small business marketing strategist in small-town Wetumpka, Alabama where she enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with family.

    TAKEAWAYS:
    • Prioritize the customer journey. Be intentional about it and learn how to turn clients into cheerleaders.
    • Go the extra mile. People are so grateful when you go a step further and it means a lot to them and shows you care about their business.
    • Make sure to paint clients as heroes and focus on that in your messaging. Find ways to serve them beyond just filling your services.

  • EP 421 | How to fix your email click rates (for good!)
Ever feel like your emails are just… floating into the void? People open them (yay!), but then? Crickets. No clicks, no action, no movement toward a sale.

The problem? You haven’t built a culture of clicking in your emails. And if your subscribers aren’t in the habit of clicking, they’re not in the habit of buying either.

So how do you actually get people to click? In this episode, I’m breaking down four simple, proven strategies that can turn those silent opens into engaged clicks—so your emails do more than just sit in inboxes.

    TAKEAWAYS:
    • Double (or triple) your click rate by placing calls to action in the right places.
    • Find your secret weapon subject lines—and use them to get more ideal clients clicking.
    • Why one link, used multiple times, is the key to email clarity (and conversions).
    • The friction-free way to boost event sign-ups—without annoying your list.

  • EP 420 | Using tools and systems to their full potential featuring Beth Kocol
Beth Kocol is a Systems & Automation Strategist and Certified Dubsado Specialist with a strong passion for helping women bring efficiency to their service-based businesses.

She founded Studio320 as a Virtual Assistant and learned rather quickly just how challenging it can be to juggle family and personal fulfillment - solid systems were a necessity to keep all the wheels turning and all the people happy. With a keen ability to spot areas for streamlining and optimization, Beth now helps her clients to  get their brains outta their back-ends by leveraging systems and automation, getting time back in their day without sacrificing personal connection.

    TAKEAWAYS:
    • Make the point of entry to work with you simple. Figure out the first action you want people to take to express interest in working with you and make it simple, easy and fun.
    • Create systems that can work with you and grow with you. You can always change what you’re doing to better support your business. Go back over processes often and refine.
    • Write down your client journey step by step. Go back through the process and think about the different ways you can uplevel that experience. Think about parts of the process that can be automated and let that work for you instead of you doing things manually.

  • EP 419 | Boundaries and non-negotiables that your future self will thank you for
I want to set you up for success by helping your future self. If you can learn to create boundaries, rules and non-negotiables, you will be able to look back on your current self and say, “thank you for doing that”.

This does not mean that you have to change, but it does require that your actions and how you show up is different from what you are doing. You have to ask yourself, what’s working, what’s not and what can you outsource. Answering these questions will help you set boundaries for yourself and it will make the processes in your business more streamlined and simplified.

So what does this look like for you? I’m sharing with you my boundaries and non-negotiables in hopes to inspire you to set some rules of your own.

    TAKEAWAYS:
    • People who are not entrepreneurs don’t get an opinion in your business. It’s not helpful. You could benefit from trying this.
    • Set a schedule, and don’t overcommit. While you might sometimes want to say yes to everything, consider what you can do to simplify what’s best for you and how you show up for your clients.
    • 100% unavailable for procrastination. Most people typically procrastinate on things outside of their comfort zone or things they don’t like doing. Try doing those things you’re avoiding first and plan certain tasks into your schedule.
    • Do not rush for the sake of getting something done. The work you do should be focused and streamlined, have a clear intention of an ROI, and be the highest quality you are capable of creating. Any activity you decide to participate in should be high quality.

  • EP 417 | How to talk about pain points without feeling like a salesy jerk
It’s not always fun talking about pain points in your marketing, but I want to show you how you can talk about pain points and not feel like a salesy jerk. Your ideal client has a problem they want to solve. And your program or offer can solve that pain point. So you talking about pain points can help a lot of people to understand more about how you can help them. ...when you do it the right way.

    TAKEAWAYS:
    • Speaking about pain points helps your audience feel understood. Your audience wants to feel seen and heard so when you talk about pain points, you are validating their experience and concerns.
    • You owe it to your audience to tell them what you offer. If you don’t call out these symptoms as a great fit to work with you, how will they ever know you can actually help them?
    • Not all marketing needs to be pain point marketing. Remember that there are 7 types of buyers and pain point marketing only targets one type of buyer. So use the pain point marketing technique, but don’t shift all your marketing.
