On today's episode I have a vulnerable chat with Allison Zaczynski, a yoga teacher who is influenced by her experience as a plus-sized woman, and living with a profound hearing loss and chronic illness. She is passionate about instructing beginner yogis and demonstrating that yoga can be practiced by every body. Allison fell in love with yoga as a way to cope with stress and anxiety and now she uses yoga to manage her PCOS and related symptoms.
“yoga isn’t supposed to be self conscious, its about taking care of myself in that moment”
In this episode Allison Zaczynski shares her story with PCOS & getting diagnosed and we discuss the different types of PCOS, the wide range of symptoms to look out for, and her super vulnerable journey on how she navigated a condition that so many people (including "experts") know little about and with very little research in this area. She shares her experiences with intermittent fasting, Keto and how yoga has helped manage her symptoms significantly.
This episode is not medical advice, but we hope by talking more openly about something effecting so many woman, you won't feel so alone during your journey and giving you the insights so you are able to advocate for your own health.
