Jesus never asked us to be perfect first. He asked us to seek Him first. Hungry souls that turn toward heaven will never leave empty. He is still the Bread of Life. Still nourishing, still filling, still multiplying the little we place in His hands.

Today’s enLIGHTen felt like standing beneath the branches of the Tree of Life and remembering that God is always reaching toward us. 🌿

With Dianna Istook Abbott, we talked about trees, temples, priesthood power, spiritual treasures, and the beautiful truth that growth often happens in hidden places first. Just like roots stretching deep underground before fruit appears, so much of what God is doing in us happens quietly before it blossoms.

One of my favorite thoughts from today:

We talked about how the Tree of Life begins in Genesis and appears again in Revelation… how light overcomes darkness… how the Savior nourishes us little by little… and how every covenant, every prayer, every small act of turning toward Him is part of our journey back to the presence of God.

You know, sometimes we think the glory of God is something big, something loud, something seen by everyone. But today reminded me that it’s often found in the quiet—in the early morning, in the simple choice to turn to Him in the moments no one else sees.

How beautiful it is to publish peace, not just to the world, but in our own hearts with Him. We don’t glory in Him by being perfect; we glory in Him by returning again and again.

He is still the Deliverer, still the Healer, still the One who meets us right where we are. And somehow, that’s where the light feels the brightest.

Carpe diem—seize the day, and let Him be part of it. 🤍✨

Today on enLIGHTen gathering with Alison Goff, we talked about what it really means to feast on the word— . Not just read it, not just check a box, but to actually taste it… to let it become something “delicious” to our souls . We kept coming back to the story on the road to Emmaus (see Gospel of Luke 24)… when the disciples said, “Abide with us.” Or in other words—stay… tarry with us. . I’ve been thinking about that a lot. What if our homes… our conversations… our lives… became places where He would want to tarry?  Where we talk of Him. Where we share what we’re learning. Where the Spirit is felt so naturally that, like so many of you said today— “Jesus draws near when we speak of Him.” That’s what this gathering felt like. Not just a discussion… but a table A feast A place where we were fed and enlightened together .

Sometimes we wait to offer the Lord something more polished . A stronger testimony A clearer gift A more eloquent voice A more “ready” version of ourselves . But today with my sweet guest Jenny Guthrie, we talked about how the Lord has always worked with loaves and fishes … small offerings… imperfect efforts… willing hearts. . And somehow, in His hands, they become enough . We talked about Elder Renlund’s beautiful reminder that taking upon us the names of Jesus Christ can sometimes feel a little abstract at first . But one of His names that especially stayed with us is “The Word.” And that means something deeply personal: . When we engage with the word of God, we are not just checking a box , Not just reading pages Not just trying to be “good” . We are actually coming to know Him Receiving Him. Becoming more like Him . Maybe the offering you bring today feels small Maybe it feels unfinished Maybe it feels unpolished . Bring it anyway . He will help you nourish, grow and illuminate what is offered in faith. ✨ #enLIGHTenGathering #JesusChrist #TheWord #ComeUntoChrist

This week's enLIGHTen felt like a quiet reminder of something my heart needed 🤍. That becoming isn’t loud… it’s not instant… and it’s not meant to be perfect. With my good friends Gracie Ketchum & Gentry Katseanes, we talked about what it really means to overcome through Christ. Not all at once not with full understanding but step by step… with Him. Even when it’s slow even when it’s confusing even when it’s hard. He is still there He is still working He is still shaping who we’re becoming. And something I can’t stop thinking about— We were never meant to do this alone. When we choose charity when we cheer each other on we invite more light into everyone’s journey… including our own ✨. He doesn’t ask us to understand everything just to trust Him enough to keep going 🤍
