The role of engineers needs to evolve as new tools in data analysis becomes available to them to solve the more challenging problems of today. Big data analysis, the set of mathematical tools for analyzing problems called Artificial Intelligence, and the growing ability to capture more data easily and cheaply means today's engineers need to evolve.
