April is Cesarean Awareness Month and in this episode I discuss the history of cesarean delivery and the reasons why cesareans are performed in the United States. We explored the most common indications for cesarean delivery, including failed labor progression, multiple gestation, maternal hypertension, fetal distress, and other medical reasons. We also covered the risks and benefits of Cesarean delivery, including the potential impact on maternal and neonatal health.
