This week’s guest, Rebekha Carina Che Sharkie represents the Division of Mayo, just south and east of Adelaide. A Ten Pound Pom who as a kid would sleep under tables in the rural pubs of South Australia while her dad played drums. She initially approached the Liberals for pre-selection a decade ago, but was told that a single mother would be a bad look for the party. So, she joined the Centre Alliance and got herself elected as an independent in 2016. After surviving the Parliamentary citizenship crisis a year later, she's been re-elected twice since - and it doesn't look like she's going anywhere.
