Bryan Burack is a Senior Policy Advisor for China and the Indo-Pacific in The Heritage Foundation’s Asian Studies Center.
Burack’s work focuses on China and threats to U.S. national security, U.S. foreign policy in the Indo-Pacific region, and supporting federal and state legislative efforts in these areas, including crafting model legislation.
Prior to joining Heritage in 2023, Burack served for eight years on Capitol Hill, most recently as Professional Staff Member and Counsel for the House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC), where he was Congressman Michael McCaul’s (R-Texas) lead advisor for Indo-Pacific foreign policy and national security issues. In this role, he drafted, negotiated, and assisted in the enactment of federal legislation to confront threats from the People’s Republic of China.
