It’s a brand new (off week) episode of Tights and Fights! We’re forsaking the news to focus our attention on the newest and tallest WWE Hall of Famer: The Great Khali. No, this isn’t a rib!
The Main Event
Khali was introduced to the WWE with as much fanfare and force as Vince McMahon could muster. His first feud was with the Undertaker and he even got his own special match as a showcase: The Punjabi Prison! It was a big, confusing spectacle that we remember no matter how hard we wish we didn’t. Also, Danielle is dressed like a pencil!
Plus! Producer Julian chats with Scarlett Harris. She’s the author of the book, A Diva Was a Female Version of a Wrestler. She tells us all about how her feminist awakening led to her viewing wrestling through a different lens, WWE attempting to undo their decades of poorly showcasing women on their own terms and why despite all its flaws, she hopes that the Women’s Evolution wasn’t a one-off experiment.
Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Lindsey Kelk
Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.
