On this episode of Property People, we chat to Marwan Field; Co-Founder & CEO of Byoot and Co-Founder of Skrap.

Byoot is a London-based design & build company that specialises in refurbishing, extending and building homes. The companies’ emphasis is on simplicity, transparency and quality - making it a design and build company with a difference. 

After spending years successfully building Byoot, Marwan and co-founder, Hussain Hilli, were frequently frustrated by problems with waste services suppliers such as skip hire companies. This led to them developing a digital solution to their difficulties with third co-founder, Ahmed Rao.

Skrap provides an aggregation service in a market that has been slow to embrace digital technology. Through the Skrap app, construction companies looking for waste services are matched with suppliers that are able to meet their needs.

In 2020, Skrap announced the successful completion of a £1.2m seed fundraising round.
