Peter Singer, the author and philosopher, embarks on a global speaking tour as the update on his classic is released, "Animal Liberation Now."

Singer speaks to Emil Guillermo about the tour and how animal rights has evolved in the last 50 years. He talks about speciesism, the need for governments to take a stronger stand for the animals, and looks at the impact of a 21st-century phenomenon--AI--and what impact that could have on animal rights. Overall, Singer's assessment is that while there has been some progress toward ending factory farming and animal experimentation, there is still much to be done.
