Segment 1: Alex's Story (03:55)Â
Alex Berge is a midwife and nurse from Western Australia. She grew up on a sheep and wheat farm, moved to Perth for her studies, then to Sydney for her graduate placement. Now she’s back in WA and has big plans to see more of Australia and go back out bush. She’s passionate about primary health and education, child health and midwifery, and is driven by an enthusiasm to be involved and contribute. Alex caught up for coffee with lifelong friend and our producer, Leith. She’s generously shared with us her journey so far and valuable lessons and values she’s learnt along the way. This is Alex's story.Â
Â
Segment 2: Upper-GI Cancers (16:42)Â
Deep dive into the world of upper-gastrointestinal (upper-GI) cancers, as we shine a spotlight on the perhaps most enigmatic yet formidable foes – pancreatic cancer. Meet Tiffany Dobson from Pancare Foundation as we discuss treatment, rates and access to services.Â
