EP: 735 - You’re not eating because you’re hungry. You’re eating because you’re uncomfortable doing nothing

Listen Later

DM ME "REST" for details on my brand new program, Permission To Just Be

You’re highly ambitious, love being productive and have goals to reach.

But you feel uncomfortable in the void of doing “nothing”.

You’re always seeking to stay busy to fill up time. And that’s because you don’t know how to just be with yourself.

Which is why you end up grabbing a snack and then thinking to yourself “what the heck am I doing, I’m not even hungry”

Being with yourself feels like the most unproductive thing to do especially when you could be cleaning your house, throwing in another load of laundry or going for a walk.

But being with yourself is where you can actually tune into your beautiful intuition and distinguish the difference between a physical hunger cue or an emotional hunger cue.

You can feel if you’re actually hungry, experiencing a craving or just eating out of habit.

When you let yourself just be, you’ll be able to:

Take a 2pm break at work and actually soak up the sunshine for 15 minutes feeling energized, calm, and grounded instead of reaching for a snack just because you’re bored or avoiding your to-do list.

Sit on the couch at 8pm and watch your fav show without that nagging voice saying “you should be folding laundry” and without using snacks to justify doing “nothing.”

Sleep in on a Saturday and cuddle a little longer with your husband, fully present, without the guilt of missing your usual 6am workout.

Let yourself relax on a Sunday afternoon not half-resting while doing chores, but actually resting… and not ending up elbow-deep in a tub of ice cream an hour later.

You’ll stop using food to fill the silence, the discomfort, or the pressure to always be “productive.”

And as a result, you’ll stop overeating at night and finally have “me time” that actually feels like yours.

When you stop using food to cope, you’ll create space for the incredible life you’ve built, where your success and how well you take care of yourself coexist, without the need for food to fill the void

You’re already highly committed, ambitious and driven and when you're ready to stop letting food fill the void and finally feel safe to just be with yourself, let’s work together to make that happen.
