The Research Modernization Deal, RMD, is a new deal for scientists and animals developed by the scientists at PETA. Intended to change the paradigm on the use of animals in experimentation, RMD is a common-sense strategy necessitated by the 90 percent failure rate of research involving animals to produce anything of value for humans. PETA's Dr.Emily Trunnell with the Laboratory Investigations Department is working with the team trying to make RMD a reality. She tells Emil Guillermo the program is as simple as stopping everything that doesn't work or produce real results and shifting money and emphasis to non-animal experiments that would have a better chance at success. Find out more at PETA.org.
