Have you ever wondered why we work such long hours in this field? I think the answer to that question is much deeper than "because there's a lot of work to be done."  I see 5 common reasons why we work long hours in OB/GYN and they aren't what you might think! We need to look at the real reasons why we end up overworking and begin to realize it's not just the amount of work. Our beliefs and our conditioning often lead us to over-work, not our contract.
