This week on the podcast we have Edith Shreckengast, MS, CSSD, CDE, RD. If you can't tell by all the credentials, this woman keeps busy!! Edie is a Board Certified Specialisted in Sports Dietetics, Certified Diabetes Educator, and Registered Dietitian. Currently she acts as the consulting sports RD for the Seattle Mariners and as a clinical health coach at Community Health Plan of Washington. In the past Edie has worked wtih the Pittsburgh Steelers, University of Pittsburgh Football team, Cernegie Mellon University athletics, RMU hockey, Seton Hill University, and the list goes on! And in her *free time*, Edie has had time to run 3 marathons (in 3 hours 20 minutes) and a half marathon (1 hour 28 minutes). WOW. This week​ we discuss challenges as an IE sports RD, life after sport for athletes, and body inclusivity in the sports world. This guest and this episode are so special!
