In the New Testament, this word “adoption” is always good. It's only a few times and it's always speaking of inheriting receiving, gaining, being a part and the keyword is “belonging”.

Bible scholar Mr Burke, said if adoption is about anything it's about belonging. It's about belonging a belonging where God is father occupies center stage in the family.
