A few weeks ago I ran my first marathon - and these are my top 5 takeaways from it:
1) Run your Race - comparison is the thief of joy
2) We are the Stories we Tell Ourselves - our thoughts dictate our behaviors and actions
3) Say in Momentum - hard things are harder if you stop
4) Know your Why - your cause needs to be bigger than yourself
5) You are Capable of Way More than you Think - with consistent effort, anything is possible

Today we’ve got on Matt Vincent.
Matt is a 2 time Highland Games World Champion, world traveler, founder of the brand Not Dead Yet, runs the UMSO podcast, and is an all around awesome dude. I’ve been following Matt’s journey for a few years now, and really appreciate his approach to life.
Matt is not a Dad, and he’ll be the first to tell you that he doesn’t want to be one, but I think that we can gain a ton of valuable insight from some of Matt’s philosophies around life. Matt lost his Dad suddenly to cancer, and it has played a major role in how he has shaped his life. From that experience, Matt has vowed to live his life on his terms, understanding how precious it actually is and how none of us are getting out alive.
I just absolutely love the clarity around life that Matt has and his attitude is infectious and inspires others to go out and live their dreams. And us as Fathers, should be setting that example for our kids.
During our chat, Matt and I discuss:
-The meaning of his brand Not Dead Yet
-Why fathers are incredibly important
-How to live life as if your days are numbered, because they are

Trybe was founded to make measuring your blood simple and effective. They run diagnostic tests on your body to address the causes of poor output and suggest a supplemental response to optimize performance. They give you the tools to up your game in all areas of everyday life.
I first connected with Andrew a couple of months back, after having a terrible experience with a traditional doctor’s office trying to get my bloodwork analyzed. I knew there had to be a better way to track my most important levels - and struck up a relationship with Andrew.
When we’re in our 20’s, we hardly ever think about our health… but now that we are Dads, our focus shifts to longevity - ensuring we are going to be around for years to come for our family. Knowing your vital health metrics, like cortisol, DHEA, and testosterone ensures that you can take a proactive approach and take charge of your overall health.
Today, Andrew and I talk about:
The importance of focusing on health longevity for Dads
What key health metrics we should be tracking
Why testosterone levels in men have dropped and what we can do about it
