Today, RÚV English is in Akranes.

Founded in 1959, the Akranes Folk Museum is the place to learn about the past of this West Iceland town, and its surroundings.

Darren met with museum director Jón Allansson for a tour of the exhibits, which bring to life the history of the town which stretches back almost all the way to Iceland's first settlement.
