Sometimes disruption can lead to a chaotic marketplace and the mattress industry has been one of those places. In 2010, the mattress industry had less than 1% of annual sales online. Today, online sales in the US make up 21% of all mattress sales. However, the number of companies launched and failed are in the hundreds.

With all the competition and confusion, we looked to Ron Rudzin, co-founder, President and CEO of The Saatva Company to share how Saatva has become a market leader in this space.

This luxury mattress company started in 2011 was the fastest-growing major direct-to-consumer mattress brand from 2019 to 2021. In 2021, Saatva ranked 101 on Inc’s list of the top 500 retailers of the year.

Ron is also proud of his partnership with Pencil, where he serves on the board of directors, and HACA in Austin, Texas. Both organizations provide educational and social support to young people.
