Here is what to expect on this week’s show:

  • In marriage, don’t expect perfection. How does your perspective change if you expect that you will be together no matter what? There is no out, making it work.
  • Being intentional with your words when communicating with your spouse or children. Do you have off limits words? Focus on how things make you feel, rather than using words that provoke a negative reaction.
  • Shifting your perspective on your child’s development: do you compare your kids to others, or accept where they are at? Have patience and confidence that your child will get to where they need to be in their own time.
  • Teaching social skills for pre-teens and teens, especially post-pandemic. What are your expectations of your own children in social interactions?
  • Are you the freak-out parent, or the calm parent? How do you shift from the former to the latter?
  • How to reframe the way you think about your kids when you are going through difficulties.
