Rick Bucher was a Firefighter/Paramedic/Rescue Tech for 27 years in Scottsdale, AZ, and retired after committing suicide in 2019.
Rick didn't know that he had PTSD or didn't realize the extent of it until after his suicide, and he is now stepping forward not only to bring awareness to the issue in the first responder community but to help break the stigma associated with coming out of the shadows and asking for help. That stigma is costing our military and first responder communities lives every day, not to mention the effect that loss has on our friends, coworkers and family.
