First episode of the two-five! Mal starts off with hate so as you can see, nothing has changed. Speaking of hate, we accidentally pulled a Katt Williams and popped the year off with beef and controversy, with Elliott Wilson getting Cam and Mase to respond to his hate rant on our last episode (9:05). Mal and Rory stand 10 toes down on media personalities being just as qualified as journalists. We run through our NYE night (27:09), and then get into Joey Bada$$ and his claim as the heir to the King of NY throne, before setting up qualifications for what that role entails (31:39). On the note of kings, Lebron James celebrated his 40th going off to a Kendrick b-side, leading us to ponder which emotional b-side would we get into to make sure the party dies (56:05). We have prayers for the victims of the incidents that happened over the past few days (1:17:28), a voicemail from a potential step mother that sets Rory’s teeth on edge (1:21:42), and a belief that Demaris will end up a widow with a felon using her basement as his home (1:34:19).
