Our guest today is Julia Hochstadt, a therapist with over twenty years of expertise in working with victims of crime, trauma and interpersonal violence, including child abuse, rape and sexual assault and domestic violence.

Before working in private practice, Julia led New York Presbyterian's Victim Intervention Program (VIP) providing acute emergency room support, counseling, and case management services to crime and trauma victims and their families. She also worked at The Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Program at Mount Sinai Hospital in a similar capacity. Trained as a social worker, Julia also holds advanced training certifications in psychodynamic psychotherapy and is certified as an expert witness in domestic violence for the Manhattan and the Bronx District Attorney's Offices.
