This episode looks at Acts 28:23-31 and I Timothy 4:1-2. In Acts 28 we find the apostle Paul under house arrest and yet even while incarcerated he preaches to all those who will listen. Though some believed and some did not believe, he still "with all confidence" (v 31), shared the truth of God's Word. The warning surrounding his preaching was that some hearts were closed to the message and did not believe. Paul tells Timothy that similar things will happen in the last days. In fact, Paul says, "some shall depart from the faith . . . having their conscience seared with a hot iron." How important it is for us to keep our hearts turned toward the Lord and His Word. We learn from this lesson that we must stay sensitive to God and His Word.
