Today, RÚV English travels to Borgarnes to find out about comedy in the town and in the capital.

A quick glance at the website comedyiniceland.com will confirm no shortage of opportunities to laugh at English-language comedy in Iceland. The site is run by comedian Dan Zerin, a regular presence on the stand-up circuit in Reykjavík.

Darren is joined by Dan and his collaborator Jess Marie - together they are bringing regular comedy shows to Borgarnes, due to start later this month.

Jess is also working with future podcast guest and artist Michelle Bird on an arts festival due to come to the town in February of next year.
