Today, RÚV English Radio returns to the island of Grímsey.

The new Miðgarðakirkja church was consecrated on Grímsey in early August (https://www.ruv.is/english/2025-08-11-church-bells-ring-again-in-grimsey-450659). It was built through a united community effort. The older church burned to the ground four years ago.

Darren was shown around the church by islander Halla Ingólfsdóttir. who also runs ArcticTrip (https://www.arctictrip.is/).
