25 years ago this week, at the turn of the millennium, Eyrkah Badu released her second album, Mama's Gun. The album went certified platinum, and is considered to be one of the best in Badu's career. James Poyser is a keyboardist for The Roots, and one of Badu's closest collaborators who was in the studio with Erykah to make Mama's Gun.
