We all have those special people in our lives that we choose to be there for us. But have you ever thought about why we chose these people? Or have you given it any consideration when you are allowing someone into your life? In this episode, we take a moment to reflect on five people in our lives right now. Why are they there? What do they bring to your growth and development as an individual? How do their actions shape your decisions and the person you want to become? It’s important to recognize that not everyone in our life will always bring positive energy. It is up to us who we let in and how these individuals influence us in our personal journeys.

  • #182 | This is Why You SHOULD Be Selfish

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode, we discuss how selfishness is often thought of negatively, but in reality, it is necessary for self-care and setting healthy boundaries. Think of your cup as the container for your energy and emotional resources. If your cup is empty, you have nothing left to give. But when we prioritize ourselves and put ourselves first, our cups can remain full and overflowing with love, energy, and compassion for those around us. Take care of your physical and mental well-being so that you can show up fully present in each situation and not be resentful for having to pour from an empty cup.

    Send us Fan Mail

It's important to remember that it's not only okay but your responsibility to communicate your needs and avoid boiling up when things don't go as you expected. You're entitled to express yourself openly and honestly, and you deserve respect for doing so. In this episode, we talk about communicating to get your needs met. We share a few examples of how you can ask for your needs to be met in a way that the other person will be able to understand exactly what you need, and there will be no misunderstanding. At the end of the day, it is our individual responsibility to communicate our needs and feelings without fear of judgment or criticism. It's not easy, but with patience and understanding, we can get our needs met and meet the needs of the people around us.

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode, we talk about having a strong support system. Life can be hard, and it’s not always easy to ask for help. But having someone who you can lean on during tough times can make a huge difference. It is important to find people who make you feel like you matter. At times, these people might come in the form of friends or family members, while at other times, they could be counselors, mentors, or even strangers. Regardless of who they are, they will listen when you need them and can offer support during difficult moments. They understand that sometimes you just need space and for your boundaries to be respected, as well as your emotional capacity.
