On this episode of Expanded Perspectives, a listener writes into the show with a strange experience while out duck and deer hunting. Where they on some ancient Native American land? Then, a person believes they saw an upright canine creature in the woods one night while in a park.  After the break, Cam brings up the strange theory surrounding the Hollow Earth.

Modern science holds that the Earth is an unbroken series of layers, crusts, and liquid magma surrounding a dense, hot core made primarily of iron and nickel. But in the 17th century, some of the leading scientific minds of the time had a different theory—that the planet is actually hollow. This idea has proved incredibly durable. Even today, there is a small cadre of Hollow Earth believers who are fighting valiantly to validate their ideas through books, websites, meetings, and some extremely ambitious travel plans.

Next, Cam taks about the Honey Island Swamp Monster.  In case you didn't know, the Honey Island Swamp Monster is a humanoid cryptid that is reported to have been seen in and around Honey Island Swamp, Louisiana since 1963. It was first reported in 1963, when two hunters spotted this creature prowling the swamps. Its tracks indicate three-toed webbed feet. It is possible that a Bigfoot evolved webbed feet to better suit its swamp environment. Some even believe it's an experiment gone awry

On this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys start the show off by talking about the new Cocaine Bear movie that is about to come out in theaters. Then, scientists have uncovered a lizard fossil that hadn’t been seen since the 1950s and army ant fossils that were hidden at Harvard University for almost 100 years. At the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) in Hobart, Tasmania. Researchers there found the long-lost remains of the last known Tasmanian tiger, or thylacine (Thylacinus cynocephalus). The remains have been missing for over 85 years. Then, a listener writes into the show with a strange tale of seeing a Bigfoot while out fishing in Nebraska back in 1959! A person believes that they saw a small Troll, Gnome or Duende crossed a street right in front of them while riding their bike.

After the break, Cam brings up some strange stories involving Christmas! When people hear the words “ghosts” and “Christmas” in the same sentence, one is likely to immediately think of those of Charles Dickens’ beloved classic story A Christmas Carol, with Scrooge and his harrowing night of being visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. Other than this, it does not seem that this season of joy and peace should have anything at all to do with ghosts and phantoms, with hauntings typically the furthest thing from people’s minds at this time of year. And yet there are strange stories out there involving Christmas!

On this episode of Expanded Perspectives the guys start the show off talking about what they have been up too, along with Luke and Cam's birthday quickly approaching. Then, a listener writes in with a strange experience they had while driving on a deserted road in July of 1976 in California. Where they abducted by alien beings? Next, a hunter up in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming, woke up one night to see a large hairy humanoid pillaging his cooler and throwing things around.  After the break, Cam brings up some strange tales of glitches in time, overlapping time and time slips!

Time slips or time glitches are a commonly reported phenomenon. Many believe time slips support the holographic universe theory. Synchronicity is another phenomenon that for many supports this holographic universe theory. Some believe Deja Vu is another phenomenon that indicates we live in a simulation. Time lapses, glitches and losses are often associated with the paranormal.

This phenomenon is very broad and can manifest in many different ways, but it mainly manifests as objects that suddenly appear or disappear, as if spawned/respawned in a video game. This includes cars completely appearing from nowhere into traffic intersections, or people disappearing from a video out of nowhere.  Fred Beck, one of the miners who fought off an attack by a group of Bigfoot in the Ape Canyon incident of 1924 held fast to the view that the creatures he saw were not flesh and blood but immaterial beings which had briefly manifested in the material world of human perceptions. He categorized them as inter-dimensional beings or unconscious manifestations, similar in creation to a 'Tulpa' or thought-form.

In all of their different incarnations, the Men in Black (MIB) usually have one main purpose: to muzzle witnesses of strange, paranormal phenomena. They almost always wear black suits and hats with dark sunglasses, drive black cars and arrive in groups of two or three. After the break, Kyle brings up the Aquatic Ape Theory. Much more than other primates, man has several features that are seen more often in aquatic than terrestrial mammals: nakedness, thick subcutaneous fat-layer, stretched hindlimbs, voluntary respiration, dilute urine etc. The Aquatic Ape Theory states that our ancestors once spent a significant part of their life in water. Presumably, early apes were plant and fruit eaters in tropical forests. Early hominids also ate aquatic food; at first mainly weeds and tubers, later sea shore animals, especially shellfish. With the Pleistocene cooling, our ancestors returned to land and became bipedal omnivores and scavengers and later hunters of coastal and riverside animals.

Then, the Tunnel Monster of Cabbagetown, Ontario.

One summer’s day in 1978 in an area of the city known as Cabbagetown. A man named Ernest stumbled upon a secret entrance to the tunnels while searching for a lost kitten. Certain he had heard distressed mewling down in the alley beside his Parliament Street apartment the night before, he decided to army-crawl into the culvert about ten feet, flashlight in hand. The tunnel gradually widened, its black depths like an abyss. Something skittered ahead and he steadied the flashlight beam, hoping to see his kitten. But it was no cat caught in the beam. A pair of slanted red eyes bulged at him above the gaping, large-toothed mouth of a hairy, grey, bi-pedaled creature about three feet long.
