When we live and work overseas there is a good chance you will accrue some form of retirement savings.

Some of these savings could include a UK pension, 401k from the US, RRSP from Canada, Provident Fund in Hong Kong, CPF in Singapore, End of Service Benefit in the UAE and many more.

However it isn't always so simple just to take your foreign retirement savings and place it in your super fund.

There are complications on where the funds are coming from, and the local jurisdictional rules, as well as how those funds are categorised when they enter Australia.
