In this episode, Alan Lazaros shares his inspirational journey from overcoming early life adversities to finding fulfillment and success. He recounts his childhood marked by the loss of his biological father, a turbulent relationship with his stepfather, and financial struggles. Alan emphasizes the shift from external validation through achievements to internal fulfillment through personal development. He discusses his career progress from computer engineering to founding Next Level University, which focuses on helping others achieve balanced success in health, wealth, and love.
Alan highlights therapy's role and his relationship with his partner, Amelia, in transforming his life. The conversation touches on integrating the shadow self, the hero’s journey, and the importance of self-improvement and humility.
At age 2, Alan's father passed away in a car accident. At age 26, after getting into a nearly fatal car accident, Alan questioned everything he was doing in life. He questioned who he was and the choices he was making. He was at an all-time low. Filled with regret, he searched for answers and found two of the brightest lights he had ever seen.
The first bright light was Bronnie Ware's book “The Top 5 Regrets of the Dying,” and the second was Tony Robbins's TED Talk. These resources helped him find his way and guided him between going ALL IN on self-improvement and designing a life of meaning and purpose.
On this self-improvement journey, he learned to believe in a heart-driven but no-BS approach to inspiring, motivating, and educating others on what it really takes to reach the Next Level.
Today, he proudly says his mission is to help others design fulfilling lives, maximize their unique potential, and build aligned businesses they love on their terms. He has a powerful combination of technical expertise and business acumen, specializing in Peak Performance, Productivity, Organizational Design, and Individual, Team, and Business Optimization.
Alan leads a global team at NLU, has given hundreds of trainings worldwide, and has happily completed thousands of one-on-one coaching calls with clients.

Welcome to another episode of EZ Conversations with your host Furkhan Dandia. I was honoured to speak with the resilient Frank King in this week's episode. In this interview, Frank King, a professional comedian and former writer for Jay Leno, shares his journey from discovering his comedic talent in fourth grade to becoming a mental health speaker and advocate.
He discusses his early career, including writing jokes for 'The Tonight Show,' his transition to corporate comedy, and his struggles during the financial crisis 2008. Frank delves deeply into his battles with major depressive disorder and chronic suicidal ideation, explaining how these challenges have shaped his life and career. He emphasizes the importance of self-care, resilience, and open conversations about mental health. His story illustrates how his comedic and mental health experiences have intertwined, leading him to help others through humour and speaking engagements.
Frank King, Suicide Prevention Speaker, was a writer for The Tonight Show for 20 years and has been a speaker and comedian for 38.
He’s shared the stage with comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, Dr. Ken Jung, Ellen DeGeneres, Dennis Miller, and Bill Hicks, as well as entertainers Lou Rawls, The Beach Boys, Randy Travis, and Nancy Wilson.
His speech on Suicide Prevention is informed by his lifetime battle with Depression and Suicidality, and he has turned that long, dark journey of the soul into 12 TEDx Talks, sharing his lifesaving insights with colleges, corporations, and associations.
On top of all of that, he has survived 2 aortic valve replacements, a double bypass, a heart attack, and losing to a puppet on the original Star Search and has lived to joke about it all.

Hey everyone, Furkhan Dandia here! In this episode of EZ Conversations, I'm thrilled to sit down with Jane Marie Auret, the insightful author of Screens in the Ego: A Meditation on Gen Z. Jane brings a unique perspective to the table, drawing from her rich experiences and deep reflections on modern mental health treatment.
We dive into Jane's journey, starting with her eye-opening critiques of ineffective therapy methods she encountered personally. As someone who has worked as an RA and a youth specialist, Jane shares candidly about the glaring gaps in current mental health interventions and why they often fall short. She passionately argues for a more holistic approach, suggesting that returning to the ancient concept of the soul could offer more meaningful solutions.
Our conversation delves into the pervasive impact of social media on mental health today. Jane critically examines how secular and medicalized views on mental health might be missing the mark, advocating instead for the importance of moral philosophy in achieving true inner peace.
Throughout our talk, Jane opened up about her own life experiences, including her battle with cancer, the challenges she faced in academia, and the toxic environment she often encountered there. These personal anecdotes highlight her belief in the need for a spiritual and moral grounding to navigate the complexities of modern life.
Join us for a thought-provoking discussion that challenges conventional mental health paradigms and explores the potential for more soulful and philosophical approaches to well-being. You won't want to miss Jane's powerful insights and inspiring journey. Tune in, and let's dive deep together!
