Had coffee with the resident pastor at our church the other day, and he dropped a double-sided bomb on me. He said, 'Jim, I always start my day by remembering that I'm already sanctified in Christ, and I'm actively pursuing the process of sanctification in Christ.'

A few days ago, completely out of nowhere, I came home with the driest mouth possible. Despite my drinking gallons upon gallons of water, I had this unquenchable thirst that I had not experienced before. Little did I know, it wasn't a physiological thing at all.
