    (0:00:00) - Sprint Format Changes in F1 (8 Minutes)

In this week's episode of F1 Coffee Corner Four Beans, we dive into the proposed changes to the sprint format, reviewing the first three races of the season and discussing Mercedes' development and the potential return of James Allison. Kicking off with the espresso news, we explore the changes being proposed for a sprint format, which have been agreed by the teams and are due to go in front of the FIA before the sprint race in Baku. However, due to various reasons, it's now looking extremely unlikely to be pushed through in time, with the most likely option being Austria.

(0:15:05) - Comparing Driver Performance and Team Underperformance (3 Minutes)

Continuing the discussion on Formula 1 team performances, we examine the rivalry between Magnessun and Hulkenberg, as the latter has been outperforming the former, potentially causing concern for Guther. The conversation then shifts to Haas, who need to up their game after experiencing issues with the Ferrari engine and being less competitive than last year. Alpine's disappointing start to the season is also analyzed, as they have only earned eight points this year compared to twenty-two last year.

    (0:23:26) - 2021 F1 Season Analysis (10 Minutes)

In this part of the conversation, we analyze the current standings of Formula 1 teams after the first three races and discuss the potential implications for the rest of the season. Ferrari struggles continue, while Mercedes shows signs of improvement despite their current third-place positioning. Aston Martin emerges as the season's surprise, having scored more points in three races than they did in the entire previous season. Red Bull dominates the field, with Max Verstappen looking unstoppable in his pursuit of a third championship. As we look ahead to the upcoming Baku race, Red Bull leads the pack, and other teams will need to make significant strides to catch up.

    (0:33:22) - Cost Caps in F1 Racing (8 Minutes)

We discuss James Allison's involvement in Mercedes' recent debrief video and his possible contributions to the development of the W13 and W14 cars. While his hands-on role may not be as prevalent as before, his experience and knowledge remain valuable assets for the team. We also explore the loss of Aldo Costa and the impact of the cost cap on Mercedes' performance and team structure. The cost cap has led to the departure of key personnel to other teams like Aston Martin and RB Powertrains, which may be beneficial for the sport but challenging for top teams like Mercedes.
