Bella (they/she) struggled immensely with major depression, insomnia and BPD for many years.
Cheryl, Bella's mom, facilitates Family Connections with the Sashbear Foundation and has found a beautiful community of support and learning through the groups.
Together they talk about their journey "through hell and back" and the deep learning they had to do together to understand how to set boundaries and understand their own parts of their relationship - including what they could and couldn't control.
We talk about the importance of parents also doing their own work and self-discovery alongside their child - something that Cheryl was really helped through by Sashbear.
