Fangs Up

FAMU vs FAU is the second game of the season and both teams are battling for supremacy in the classroom and on the field.

Back to back weeks in which FAMU will be playing games in South Florida but this time against a program which should prove to be a formidable foe and who may even be more talented than FAMU.

We also find ourselves in a place as FAMU Alumni that we ask the question if unification with other schools works well.

The Orange Blossom Classic is the season opener and what is Miami without a good party?

But the party only goes well if we win and the last time FAMU played Howard it was for the Celebration Bowl in Atlanta at the end of the Season.

This time the team opens the season in a rivalry which will allow the fans between the two schools to show who has the better party and who has the better team.

We also have seen additions to the other sports that may excite the base.

FAMU will be in A and the MIA.

Hoping to see the Alumni come out in droves this season.

For the third or fourth time this year FAMU seems to have recruited QB 1.

This time it looks like Jett Peddy might be the man who will lead the team in Orange and Green.

Also many FAMUANS are doing the Texas Two-Step in Frisco, Texas at the NAA Convention.

Let us hope that funds get raised and the big money donors decide to leave some funds for Mother FAMU.

A tough way to finish a season for the FAMU baseball team ends what was an exhilarating season. Despite the best wishes of the FAMU faithful the season has come to an end.

The other sports have been working to rebuild the rosters, basketball landed a 6’11 Center and football has made a concerted effort to retake South Florida for the Orange and the Green.

Good Times for a Good Distraction.

The common adage is that elections have consequences and FAMUans are seeing this first hand.

Activity or lack thereof has resulted in a presidential hire which has unified Rattler Nation against a common opponent.

During this time of unity within the ranks we are also seeing additions to the FAMU athletic teams.

It is always a good time to be a Rattler but now is a better time to organize and create a unified agenda for Rattler Nation.

After an Election that we feel was rigged, what is the next step for FAMU Alumni?

Withholding funds will be an option for some and doing more for the university will work for others.

Rattler Nation is right to feel like it was betrayed for pieces of silver, but the question of now what has to be asked.

And while this is extremely frustrating and even disheartening, the opioids of the masses continue going on in the form of Athletics.

But outside of the presidential search we see that the Rattlers continue to build upon the foundation to bring home championships .

FAMU Track made a huge comeback and the Women's Basketball team has made some huge moves.

Looking to see how the selection process goes in some areas while we build back better in others.

Mothers Day is for Family so we will see you on Monday to talk about this weekend in FAMU Athletics and some of the events to come on campus.

Good Times on Campus while many are keeping an eye on what appears to be a rigged presidential search.

The FAMU lady Rattlers are fighting to stay alive in the SWAC tournament!

While this is taking Place the other sports are waiting on deck.

The Track team starts the SWAC Championship on Sunday and the Golf team is about to prepare for the NCAA tournament.

We have also seen several players get offered to become the next crop of FAMU Rattler Football players which is very exciting for all those that support FAMU.

A Line from Stay Schemin is by Rick Ross & Drake inspired the show topic.

But FAMU basketball has seen some commitments come in during a time that both the Men and Women are rebuilding; rebuilding with similar expectation but different levels of stress.

Also FAMU Tennis fought hard but fell short and FAMU Golf prepared to take a ride that may be shorter than a par 4 course from FAMU itself.

We also watch FAMU Football lose players to the portal while continuing to welcome others.

And of Course, we have to mention this presidential search tour that is going on.

We didn’t have to transfer to Florida State to get those papers!
