Join host Kat and Canadian artist Julia Hacker on an empowering episode about finding your identity, discovering the freedom to whatever you choose, and committing to personal boundaries to protect time in the studio.
Julia Hacker shares her story about moving from Russia to Canada, finding her identity as an artist, and chasing after her dreams.
Julia Hacker is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist working in a variety of contemporary mixed media, paint, collage, and illustration. Julia also offers her artwork for rent/sale to staging companies, real state agents, and interior designers.
“Sometimes you can’t appreciate what is right there in front of you,” Julia says. Life is so beautiful. What I see in nature-created curves of the branches is the hidden power and life force, and it just takes time to awaken it. I want people to understand the positivity of life itself. I am interested in the deformity of the tangled plants. There is strength in those twists. They are like blood vessels, pulsating with energy and life. It is inside each of us. We just have to look inside.”
