Past #cannabis use is credited as the reason the #immigration authorities denied a woman’s request for #citizenship this week.  Cannabis remains federally classified as a schedule I drug and purportedly has no medicinal benefits.  But according to Judge Nina Y. Wang, this is a demonstration of having poor “moral character” and was grounds enough to deny the Swiss citizen her naturalized American citizenship.  One’s moral character is called into question when applying for citizenship to America.

His co-authored book on cannabis legalization was published by Oxford University Press.
