Felicity Harley has been a journalist for Australia's leading women's publications for two decades, including a nine-year stint as founding editor of Women's Health.
Author of Balance & other B.S.
She launched and is currently editor-at-large of whimn.com.au.
She has appeared weekly on Sunrise for ten years, has hosted TV shows and events and is a speaker on her favourite topic: health and wellbeing.
Felicity was named one of Australia's 100 Women of Influence for her brainchild the 'I Support Women In Sport' campaign.
She lives in Sydney with her husband, Tom, and their greatest achievements, three children. In her, er, spare time, the health aficionado drinks coffee, does yoga, exercises (to stay sane) and cheers on the Sydney Swans.
When Felicity Harley, founding editor of Women's Health magazine and whimn.com.au, felt really out of kilter, she started talking to other women about their overwhelm.
The floodgates opened. Turns out her girlfriends, colleagues and other mums at the school gate had also been drowning in feminist guilt while trying to keep everything afloat, plagued by perfectionism, riddled with doubt, ruled by screens and hurtling towards burnout.
As we juggle the roles of partner, boss, friend, mother and employee (plus a side hustle), balance has never been more crucial.
We're obsessed with 'wellness', yet women's mental health and wellbeing are in decline.
Using her own experiences, research and insights from leading Australian experts in health, sociology and feminism, and wisdom from smart women like Tanya Plibersek and Fifi Box, Felicity calls out the crap in cult wellness.
In her warm and inspiring way, she shows how you can cut through the B.S. to find clarity in the chaos, offload some of your mental load, and feel truly empowered in the middle of your wonderfully messy life.
In this episode 80 our Podcast Guest
Felcity Harley shares:
- her personal story
- what inspired her to write Balance & other B.S
- what her self care rituals are as a busy working Mum
- more about what she has learnt from interviewing so many incredible women about Balance, health and wellness over the many years
- travelling solo the benefits of it
- her favourite spa and wellness experience
- mental health, burn out, exhustion
- health and wellness
- social media and the pressures we all face thanks to consuming it
- how we can apply Courage to our own lives
- stepping outside out comfort zone
Plus we talk about so much more of course

EP.79 - Anxiety Relief Guidance with Tammi KirknessTammi Kirkness is a Life Coach, founder of VisionScope Coaching, Wellness Expert and Author of The Panic Button Book - step by step guide to neutralise worry, overthinking and anxiety.
For as long as Tammi Kirkness can remember she has been an overthinker, over analyser and perfectionist.
She was always striving for results, feed off recognition and looked like she was blitzing life but meanwhile she was running on nervous energy and when she was single it was easy for her to hide her high-functioning anxiety but when she got into a relationship with a beautiful man whom she eventually moved in with and then married, hiding her anxiety and panic attacks was no longer possible.
She remembers the day when she had a panic attack and she couldn't breath nor move her body and when she looked at her husband he looked terrified and she hated that.
A few weeks later when she was in a much calmer headspace she wrote down all of the scenarios that related to her anxiety and created a set of instructions that she could pick up if she felt panicky or worried and essentially she created The Panic Button Book as once she saw how much it helped her she knew she had to make it available for others.
Tammi Kirkness has had a curiosity with understanding people which is what inspired her study psychology, yoga, teaching, energy-based modalities and coaching.
She has studied in ashrams, at university, with monks in south of India, done a stint in the human resources arena and from there has converted this knowledge into running a thriving life coaching and corporate wellness practice.
In this episode 79 our Podcast Guest
Tammi Kirkness shares:
- her personal story
- what inspired her to write The Panic Button Book
- what it was like telling her husband, family and friends she was suffering with Anixety
- her self care rituals
- what it was like meditating with Monks in an Ashram in the South of Indian
- anxiety relief guidance
- anxiety relief tips
- a personal insight to what it's like to live with worry, over thinking and anxiety and things we can do to feel better from within

EP.75 - GOOD FOR THE SOUL with Rebecca Veksler, founder of SoL Cups
Being Kind to the World Around Us
SoL Cups is Founded by Rebecca Veksler and it is an Australian owned company, born from a desire to make a reusable cup that is plastic free and won't comprise your health.
Rebecca Veksler too her passion for inspiring and empowering people, and her love for business to create a product that she truly believed in.
She is also the youngest board member and Vice President of the Bondi & Districts Chamber of Commerce.
After a life changing year, overcoming Autoimmune and health obstacles, SoL Cups was born out of a mission to share her family's knowledge and passion of health with as many people as possible.
Rebecca Veksler did in-depth research about the harmful impact the use of plastics has on the human body and environment and she than wanted to make the world a cleaner and greener place.
SoL Cups is passionate about creating a better, more positive world - one cup at a time.
SoL Cups is leading the way in sustainable design to end single-use plastics, as well as working towards decreasing the need for plastic production all together.
When SoL Cups thinks about ending waste, they don't just want you to think about recycling, or re-usable products on a surface level, they want you to start thinking about products from the production phase from the source, how are the goods you buy made.
Sol chooses Handblown glass. Making it ultra lightweight, it is made from naturally abundant materials - namely sand and it is far less permeable than plastics.
Meaning their hand blown glass won't absorb residual tastes, odours or germs, and it won't leach chemicals (know to be endocrine disruptors in the body) into your beverage.
One of SoL Cups biggest long term goals is to stop plastic production, which is why they have choosen Hand Blown Glass, because it is one of the most sustainable and ethical way to produce glassware.
Sol is strong, lightweight and 100% plastic free, as well as being microwave and dishwasher safe.
Each year in Australia over more than one billion takeaway coffee cups are produced and disposed of.
Unfortnately, disposable coffee cups with a film of polyethylene are not recyclable and release methane gas when sent to the landfill.
SoL Cups has been designed to help people move from a throwaway mindset to a more environmentally supportive one, so we can all be kind to the World around us.
For every 100 SoL Cups purchased 75,000 non recyclable coffee cups are saved from land fill.
