On June 13, 1996 an 18-year-old woman was getting ready for bed in her apartment when she was viscously attacked, raped and murdered. Police quickly honed in on a 19-year-old acquaintance and theorized he took part in the murder along with another accomplice, as his DNA did not match semen found at the scene. For 20 years an innocent man sat in prison, desperately proclaiming his innocence, while her mother and police continued to search for her other attacker. He was eventually released in 2017 but in 2019 her real killer was finally revealed. This is the story of Angie Dodge.

On January 10, 1977, two friends were brutally murdered in their home at 147 Easey Street in Collingwood, Victoria in Australia. The 16-month-old son of one of the women was spared and left alone to cry in his cot for 3 days before neighbours finally entered the home to discover the gruesome scene. Despite many leads and a thorough police investigation the case went cold and for over 40 years their murders have gone unsolved. Most recently a $1 million dollar reward was offered to help renew interest in the case, as well as podcast episodes, books and a two-part Unsolved Murders: True Crime Stories episode. This is the story of Suzanne Armstrong and Susan Bartlett, also known as the Easey Street Murders.

Few stories leave me absolutely shocked and speechless, but this devastating story will stay with me and is exactly the reason I started this podcast. On February 19, 2020 a badly burned women fled from her car that was engulfed in flames, telling bystanders that her estranged husband had set the blaze. She had been driving her 3 children to school and sadly, they were burned to death in the fire. The man responsible later stabbed himself to death at the scene of the attack, while the mother was rushed to hospital but she too passed away from her injuries. This is the story of Hannah Clarke.

On March 4, 2008 an 18-year-old college freshman jumped naked from her own vehicle in an attempt to escape her abductor. She was shot in the back as she fled the moving vehicle and collapsed on the side of the highway as bystanders called for help.
