ZELENSKYY'S ADDRESS TO PARLIAMENT AND THE IMPLICATIONS OF A NO-FLY ZONE OVER UKRAINE
Libby Znaimer is joined by Dr. Aurel Braun, Professor of International Relations and Political Science at the University of Toronto and Center Associate Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University and Dr. Eric Ouellet, Professor in the Department of Defence Studies at Royal Military College of Canada.
This morning Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made an address to Canada's Parliament amid the Russia-Ukraine war. Canada, of course, has been proactively supporting the country since it was invaded by Putin's army in late February by sending lethal and non-lethal military equipment and other forms of aid as well as sanctions. One of the major points that Zelenskyy pushed for is a no-fly zone over his country. But it would be a very risky decision to make considering how it might provoke Russia. And, we ask our experts about the effectiveness of the West's response to Russia through sanctions and other means.
