The V/H/S movie series is back from the dead with V/H/S/94. Does it reproduce the craziness of the first two or is it a dud like the third? But first, we're reviewing Censor, May, The Voyeurs, The Child, The Beach House, The Blackwell Ghost 4, The Blackwell Ghost 5, Deep Rising, 10/31, Zombie Army 4, Bunny by Mona Awad, and Ghost Story by Peter Straub.
We're going to Midnight Mass this week. Does Mike Flanagan continue hitting home runs or has the Netflix curse finally struck him out? But first, we're reviewing Candyman, Black As Night, Bingo Hell, Jennifer's Body, Puppet Master 4, Old, The Blackwell Ghost 3, Arachnophobia, Behind the Sightings, Ocean Grave by Matt Serafini, Intensity by Dean Koontz, and The Fisherman by John Langan.
This week we're joined by Brandon Christensen, director of Superhost, Z, and Still/Born. We'll talk about his career in indie horror filmmaking, working with Barbara Crampton and Michael Ironside, and why a character's eyes glow in Superhost.
Because we hate ourselves, we're reviewing AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN PARIS. Massacred by critics when it released more than twenty years ago, this hated sequel is getting another shot from us. We'll either be shocked that the film has aged like a fine wine (it didn't), or we're going to lose our minds and yell at Tim the entire time.
This week we're cutting into James Wan's newest horror film, MALIGNANT. It involves copious amounts of trophy murder, compound fractures, and J-horror long black hair scares. But first, we're reviewing The Stylist, 30 Days of Night, An Unknown Compelling Force, Puppet Master 4, Rot, Come Play, The Blackwell Ghost, The Blackwell Ghost 2, Frogs, May, Intensity by Dean Koontz, and My Heart is a Chainsaw by Stephen Graham Jones.
Because we love Barbara Crampton, we're reviewing her newest movie SUPERHOST. It's about an annoying YouTube couple renting a home from an obvious psychopath. But first, we're talking No Man of God, The Burrowers, Student Bodies, Netherworld, Teddy, Grave Encounters, Grave Encounters 2, Kill List, The Messengers, Vicious Fun, Goblin by Josh Malerman, and The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix.
Tim is wearing his boner pants this week as we review our main feature COME TRUE, because it's full of dream sequences and nightmarish imagery. But first, we're talking Get Duked, The Old Ways, Frankenstein, Aftermath, Shadow in the Cloud, Blood Red Sky, Waxwork, Waxwork II: Lost in Time, The Suicide Squad, Intruder, High Tension, and Moon Blood by W. Sheridan Bradford.
Our main feature is Pig, which is about Nicolas Cage looking for his abducted pig. That's the movie. But first, we're reviewing The Green Knight, Seance, Batman: The Long Halloween, Demonoid, The Blob (1988), Howard's Mill, Jaws: The Revenge, Annihilation, Wounds, The Sea Was Angry by Armand Rosamilia, and The Razorblades in my Head by Donnie Goodman.
Our main feature this week is the Shudder exclusive movie, The Boy Behind the Door. But before we get to that, we're reviewing Spiral, Bloodthirsty, Messiah of Evil, Demonoid, Friday the 13th, Friday the 13th Part II, Jaws 2, Jaws 3-D, Jason Rising: A Friday the 13th Fan Film, Brand New Cherry Flavor, Altered States, The Magpie Coffin by Wile E Young, and Till We Become Monsters by Amanda Headlee.
We have a date with a Megan Fox thriller tonight as we review Till Death. Is it titillating or are we shackled to another boring 'thriller'? But first, we're talking The Suicide Squad, Victor Crowley, Death Ship (1980), The Windmill, Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key, Aquaslash, They Live, American Occult, The Writing Life by Jeff Strand.
