Deslynn's resilience was built through guidance of her faith, mother, grandparents, journaling, dancing, and singing, which helped her overcome the loss of loved ones, her home through a devastating hurricane, and an unexpected divorce. She believes that anyone can heal if they are willing to do the work to release past trauma and move forward.
