Dr. Jean Marie highlights that we may become so mired in negativity and unworthiness that we are unable to hear the whisper of love that is trying to guide us back home to our true self. Our love light becomes dim and obscued by our ears and the belief that we are unlovable and unworthy. We are not our authentic selves, and therefore, we are incapable of meaningful expressions of unconditional love. All of our experiences point us tward transforming our lives. I have learned that every experience, relationship, encounter, and self-sabbotaging act were part of my destiny to return me to love. This is symbolic of our innate need and desire to reconnect to our true self. When we are immersed in external conditions and life-challenging circumstances, we become anesthetized and disconnected rom our innate, life sustaining, spiritual resources and losse our way.

Whether we are down in the valley or mired in wilderness, if we focus and pay attention, we can get back on track. Our internal guidance system - the voice of love - is embedded in our psyches. It provides clarity and helps us keep the momentum going and to stay the course. The opportunity for self-discovery and self-renewal requires awareness. We pay attention to our thoughts, feelings and actions.

Love is the essensence of who we truly are. So, how can we re-member, rediscover and reclaim our natural state of being. Love is our divine power. How can we feel the love within ourselves? How can we truly dwell in love? When we love ourselves, we naturally radiate love to others.  This was inspired by a listeners question, "How can I treat myself lovingly".

Dr. Jean Marie shares the Wholistic Model of Love that includes nine ingredients in the "Recipe of Love' adopted from the analysis of Divine Love by Henry Drummond. These ingredients, embodied by master teachers, are possessed by each one of us. They all must be practiced, like colors of the rainbow, not one missing: Patience, kindness, humility, generosity, courtesy, unselfishness, good temper, guilessness and sincerity. She shares each ingredient and positive outcomes. These ingredients reflect heartfelt unconditional show us how to lovingly treat ourselves that naturally radiates to others.

Love is the greatest thing in the world and fundamental to human existence. We are true expressions of divinity and love is our natural state of being. Love is not just a mere sentiment or offhand casual remark without much thought. Conversations on Love is a new series to gain insights about love and how to cultivate a loving relationship with yourself. How to master loving yourself. Love is our natural state of being and the essence of who we truly are. However, many feel unloving, unlovable and unworthy. Overtime life experiences, faulty beliefs formulated from childhood and onward influenced, shaped by family, religion, culture and institutions have resulted in many feeling not good enough. Mired in fear with guilt, shame, anger and pain our perception gets distorted.  Dr. Jean Marie highlights love being transitional and conditional based on overgiving, people pleasing, self-sacrificing and deprioritzing one's self. Health is closely related to our emotional states. Emotions arise as a consequence of events, but they are interpreted through our personal histories. While our histories have many layers, most are stored in the unconscious mind. Negative emotions are based on fear and affet the body by subjecting it to stress, which in turn is the cause of most illnesses, and what is stress but fear? Fear of not being enough, of not getting the promotion, of losing your job, of being rejected, of not being loved. Other negative emotions, which all have their basis on fear, affect us in other ways also.

Stress is prologed over time. The body's response to fear/stress occurs in one of three ways: fight, flight or freeze. The body fills with stress harmones designed to facilitate these responses.

When our body is afraid, all cells pause their metabolic functions. The immune system weakens, and our circulation constricts, preparing the body for an imminent attack. Prolonged fear, or stress, causes all kinds of physical symptons, such as headaches, stomach upset, frequent infections, eating problems, anxiety, high blood pressure, food intolerances, and many other disorders.

The body is exhausted from constantly preparign to fight or flee, even though this doesn't happen. When the body has invested all its resources in dealing with what it's perceiving as immediate danger, it has very few left to eprform other vital functions, such as maintaining the immune system, detoxifying organs, or repairing tissues. No wonder we get sick!

Dr. Milly Diericx

Dr. Milly Diericx is an energy therapist and a hypnotherapist. She arrived at these techniques after going through all conventional options for healing her Lupus Erythematosus Systemicus (an autoimmune disease). Traditional medicine only offered  ways to diminish the symptons, causing all kinds of side effects, but no real solutions She refuesed to give up on life and searched for alternative options, the one that worked she studied and now she offers them to anyone who is interested, having tested their effectiveness on herself.

Each in their own way point to the importance of the values of dignity, humility, forgiveness, courage, sacrifice an service, at the centre of good leadership.  In more recent time, we look at examples of Abraham Lincoln, Vaclav Havel, Martin Luther King, Jr. or Nelson Mandela. Each a servant leader.

IAN HAYCROFT

Ian Haycroft searched for many ways to be free. Some of those efforts fialed miserably, and some of them opened doors he had not even imagined. Born in Australia, he started meditating when a young man. Based on some of his experiences with meditation, Ian went to India to "find my guru" in 1977. His one year trip away ened up being a journey of 21 years. From india he hitch-hiked through Europe and the United States.

In the United States, Ian met his wife Kim. He was there for twenty years, and it was there they had six children. He worked and helped Kim raise their children, and tried to figure out what life meant in amongst the daily challenges of working and being a parent.  In 1995 Ian started working in China, and 1996 they moved to China where he was General Manager of a vegetable export company.  His years in China were instructive and challenging. Being exhausted and with his family in need of stability, they moved back to Australia.

Ian discoveres Kinesiology and a way to serve people o their path to freedom for himself as well.  He serves beyond the confines of a clinic in Australia and reach out to the world who might benefit from what he has learned.
