  • HOW TO SEEK TRUTH AND WHY IT IS IMPORTANT

The knowledge of truth is empowering and guides us to an ethical manner of living and being in the worldand guides us to purposeful living. Truth is the symbol of light and love. We are shaped by our values and beliefs that may be questioned as we become more self-aware and may find ourselves on a quest for truth to make sense of our mortal existence. Truth, defined in the Cambridge dictionary, is the quality of honesty and not containing or telling lies. Truth is important and frees us from ignorance, corruption and needless suffering. Loss of freedom is evident in misinformation and lack of truth that impinge on our personal freedom.

In today's time, we are confronted with the traps of untruths that infiltrate organizations, media and other establishments and influence our beliefs and interactions with others. It leads to deceit, damaged reputations and decreased trust. Many are seeking justice and human dignity worldwide because of corruption, greed and lack of compassion. Unfortunately, we witness leadership motivated by intense craving for power and greed that lead to self-destruction and harm to others. The self-centeredness and excessive longing for acquistion and material gain at any cost, may be the result of maladaptive behaviors and unresolved feelings that cannot be fulfilled outwardly. This behavior is demonstrated in all facets of socity where truth is sacrificed for personal favors and gain with no regard for human welfare.

Truth always prevail. Seek, hear, learn and love it. Truthfulness matters to society as a whole and enables us to grow and learn from life experiences. Truth can be achieved by the following five strategies: Be sincere, Adopt a critical thinking mindset, Be your own yardstick, Keep a healthy balance and Live your truth. Dr. Jean Marie highlights each.

Our 'Love In Action Practice' practice is to live your truth. Journal on your beliefs and values. How do they make you feel? How are you living? What are you saying? Are you congruent with what you say and how you act? Be the observer of yourself. Engage in healthy and gentle self-correction and see where it takes you.

  • SPIRITUAL PRIVILEGE IS YOUR DIVINE BIRTHRIGHT

In all fractions of society, we witness those flauting privilege and entitlement with a deisre for special treatment and benefits. Being self-absorbed without regard for others and blinded by their true essence, self-worth is exaggerated with an insatiable desire for more. Often at the core, many are battling feelings of insecurity and lack of self-confidence that cannot be fillled with material possessions or recognition. This insensistivity to others magnifies injustice and breeds envy, resentment and violence with demands for equality and justice.

We all have the desire to live well and experience the best of life. Beyond that which is bestowed upon us by mortal beings is the spiritual privilege that is our diving birthright. Aside from the common views of society, on a higher level, spiritual privilege is endowed and inherent in each person and does not have to be sought after, earned, or approved by others. It does not come from our parents, job, or group membership but directly from Divine Source. Action springing from this identity provides real freedom, stability, and security that sustain us regardless of life circumstances.

When we feel spiritually privileged, we know who we truly are and our source of infinite supply. Being in communiom iwth our spiritual self, the realization of worthiness as our divine birthright is apparent through self-mastery, humility, service and gratitude. Dr. Jean Marie highlights each.

Our Love In Action Practice is to reflect on ways to enhance self-mastery. How can you become more self-aware? How can you strengthen your divine connection - the essence of your true self? Take small steps and see how this makes a difference in your life.

  • HEAVEN ON EARTH: THE ART OF CONSCIOUS LIVING

Life is a continual process of growth and change, learning and discovery, and an opportunity to make healthy choices to live a meaningful life. We often find ourselves struggling against forces which we have no control, and we learn to adapt in order or to survive. The world is filled with complex systems of interacting forces. We are constantly bombarded with information, false beliefs, illusions, and misconceptions that penetrate our consciousness and inhibit our capacity to live with peace, grace and ease.

To become a connoisseur of change, the connection with our inner source of divine love is essential to sustain well-being and harmony in the midst of life's most challenging situations. The capacity to flourish and achieve self-mastery is indeed an art form that is empowering. With the realization that our inner being reflects external conditions, the courage for self-introsepection enables us to take an honest inventory of ourselves, examine aspects of our lives that are out of balance, and discern what no longer serves us that blocks our personal develpment and spiritual growth.

Cultivating the art of conscious living requires becoming empowered to flourish and achieve self-mastery by embracing change, embodying love, being grateful and living with purpose. Dr. Jean Marie shares insights on each.

The Love In Action Practice is to journal on what change means to you. Do you resist or adapt? How has life transitions made you better? What did you discover about yourself? How can you incorporate lessons learned to build resilience and be a connoisseur of change?

  • THE POWER OF A NEW CHAPTER, NEW BEGINNING

Are you stuck in the story of who you think you are? How can you release the past and let go? How can you learn the lessons? In my book, Living in the Spirit of Love: Our Natural State of Being, I sharethe transformational Power of Sankofa that inspired me to look back, take what is valuable, and move forward to write a new chapter in my life, a new love story. A quote from the West African Translation of Sankofa speaks to our life's journey, "We must go back and reclaim our past so we can move forward; So we can understand how and why we came to be who we are".

The Sankofa is a mythical and metaphorical symbol used by the Akan people of Ghana depicted as a bird with its feet pointed forward and head turned backward taking an egg from its back. This powerful exotic symbol is an expression of the value of reaching back to knowledge gained in the past and bring it into the present in order to make positive progress.

It's time to let go, release fear and write a new 'Love Story' for your life. Dr. Jean Marie highlights the following precepts: Choose freedom, Dream big, Flow with Life, Live Intimately and Find beauty in everyday life. This enables you to create a new vision for your life and take inspired action to make your dreams a reality. You have the power.

The Love In Action Practice is twofold. First, journal on challenges overcome and how you have become better and more resilient. Second, journal on your dreams that you would like to manifest in your life. Write down the details. Feel good and imagine how you feel living your dream life. Revisit this daily and take small inspired steps to make your dreams a reality.

  • 7 KEYS TO SPIRITUAL FREEDOM

How does it feel to be free? What does freedom mean to you? How can you truly be free?Freedom is essential to our human nature and a condition for happiness and well-being. Liberty and true happiness are paramount to moral living. Trapped in fear and abandoning feedom, we create our own prison. Whether living in bondage from the past, indulging in self-condemning thoughts or limiting self-imposed constraints and beliefs, we inhibit our capacity to be free and realize our true potential. When we are free from fear, we feel in control of ourselves and aspire to become the best we can be.

Spiritual freedom, natural freedom that does not have to be earned or sought-after, ultimately guides us toward optimum personal growth and self-discovery. A freedom mindset informs how we feel, think and respond to ourselves and the world around us. When we know what is right and true, we release struggle and move gracefully with the flow of life. Creating true happiness and liberty sustains moral freedom with rules of conduct to live in harmony and wo what is right and go beyond selfish motives for pleasure and gain. In the context of interdependence, it gives us a sense of community when we contribute to and understand how our collective and individual decisions impact humanity.

Through the lens of spiritual freedom, we can change our outlook and perspective on life. Each one of us can seek inner freedom that liberates our spirit by abiding in truth and love. Dr. Jean Marie shares '7 Keys to Spiritual Freedom': Freedom to be you, freedom of expression, freedom of choice, freedom through connection, freedom through grace, freedom through spiritual practice, and adopting a freedom mindset

The 'Love in Action Practice' is to journal on what freedom means to you, how you moved beyond self-limiting restraints, and what are current barriers to being free. Take one inspired action step to change and see how this makes you feel.

  • HOW TO LIVE A SPIRITUALLY ABUNDANT LIFE

Spiritual abundance gives us a fresh view and appreciation for the fullness of life. What is enough? What is a satisfied life? What is a successful life? The strong ambition to succeed, advance and have higher aspirations is admirable. The illusion of satisfaction, comfort and insatiable desire for status and material abundance leavess us languishing for more and often comparing ourselves to others. Endless struggle for external achievement to find happiness leaves us with a hollow victory and a need to fill this emptiness at the core.

Our human experience is fraught with constant change, loss and the process of recovery; but our spiritual essence is unchanging and eternal. Abundance is our birthright and surrounds us in our daily life. The wealth of abudance includes the beauty of nature, laughter of children, wisdom of elders, inspiration and expression from creative arts.

Spiritual abundance brings everlasting peace and joy and can be achieved by being generous, content, simplistic and gracious. Dr. Jean Marie hightlights each.

The Love In Action practice is about 'Generosity', an ingredient in the 'Recipe of Love'. Reflect and journal on times when you received an unexpected helping hand from someone or divine blessing just at the right time. Second, reflect and journal on times when you extended a helping hand to someone. How did this make you feel?

  • 4 STEPS TO LIVING AND LOVING WHOLEHEARTEDLY

What does it feel like to live and love wholeheartedly? When we experience healthy and wholehearted connections with ourselves and others, we feel a sense of value and worth. Our authentic, positive and effective presence is comforting and leaves both the receiver and the giver feeling intact and whole. Whe we live and love with our whole hearts, we become more aware of ourselves in the context of our relationships and the world around us. Embrace the fullness of life. Open yourself to new experiences, love unconditionally, and marvel at the mysteries and wonders of life.

Dr. Jean Marie highlights steps to live and love wholeheartedly by being curious, courageous, creative and unselfish. Curiosity can expand empathy and strentghen our relationships. When we are curious, we keep our minds active by asking questions and seeking answers, brainstorming ideas, and becoming astute observers. Courage enables us to face our fears, learn more about ourselves, and engage with what is new and different. Creativity is the channel for new discoveries and connection to others. It refreshes our soul and outlook on life. When we are unselfish, it benefits others and enriches our lives.

The Love In Action Practice is two fold. Think of simple ways you can give back and serve. Consider volunteering or donating time and resources. • WHAT RELATIONSHIPS CAN SHOW US ABOUT OURSELVES

What are your relationships revealing? Do you see what you really need to see? How can you learn to be better?

We learn in the context of our relationships, and the world is a looking glass reflecting back what we need to know. Our innate desire is to have nurturing and intimate relationships, experience good friendships, and have positive interations with others. Relationships, whether in our personal lives, work, community and any setting, show us what we need to know about ourselves. We all have a desire to feel a sense of belonging; and to be respected, valued, and appreciated. What we give is reflected back to us; and it is just what we need to grow and be better.

We often live our lives with detached reflection. As Stella Terill Mann state, "The daily mirror test will help us see many parts of the truth about ourselves". Thought provoking self-reflection enables us to take inventory of ourselves; and to build, revive and renew our connection with others.

Relationships are mirrors. In this episode, Dr. Jean Marie reveals empowering life lessions that can inspire us to self-reflect, heal, let go and love.

The Love In Action Practice is to reflect on your relationships. Are they adding to or subtracting from your wellbeing. Are they draining or restorative? Are they healing or and bring ease and comfort or destructive? What role are you contributing? Journal on these relationships and what they are showing you about yourself, your perception of love and worth.

  • GETTING ALONG WITH YOURSELF SO YOU CAN GET ALONG WITH OTHERS

How you get along with yourself is a reflection of how you get along with others. How you treat yourself is a reflection of how you treat others. Are you your best friend and ally? What are the sources of unrest that make inner peace seem impossible, and how can we rise above it all? Whether it is lack of peace with ourselves and others driven by pride, competition, envy, selfishness and ambition, this unrest may result in fragmented lives with unhappiness, struggle and dissatisfaction. True contentment is coming from a place of peace and rest by tapping into the inner wellspring of wisdom that is always available and accessible. It is our natural state of being that can be unearthed through awareness and orderly development whereby we can live unburdened, joyful and free.

Dr. Jean Marie shares ways to get along with yourself that include: Creating the beauty of character, Living with higher ideals, Enduring ceaseless practice to embody love and Living harmoniously.

The Love In Action practice is to be aware of how you are treating yourself and reacting to others. Journal on your encounters. What are the outcomes? What are your thoughts and feelings? Were you kind or upset? Were you satisfied with your encounters or could you have responded differently? What insight can you gain about yourself? How can you be more loving to yourself?

  • OVERCOMING LIFE'S TRIALS: FOUR PILLARS OF SPIRITUAL RESILIENCE

How can we overcome adversity? How can we adapt to constant change and uncertainty? Spiritual resilience sustains us during challenging times by relying on internal and external resources. The remedy for life challenges is always available and readily accessible by realizing our innate power to overcome obstacles. We can build spiritual resilience through the four pillars of joyful surrender, true grace, divine love and a spirit of gratitude.

Dr. Jean Marie highlights each of the 4 pillars. We often feel burdened and powerless over what appears to be insurmountable challenges. When we gladly surrender, there is no rebuttal or negotiation as we confidently move forward.
