"Don't compare yourself to 1 area of someone elses life" by Aren Deu #79
Putting people on a pedestal is a dangerous game that will not serve you. It simply has no benefit to your happiness or mental health. Furthermore, it will cause you to behave and act in a manner that actually adds very little to your own progress. Now I am not sitting here preaching about this, like I haven't done it. I have. I have put people on a pedestal many times in the past. But since I stopped doing that, my world started to change. Since I started to recognise my own powers, traits and strengths I became much happier in my own skin. I want this for you too.
So there’s a few reasons we need to stop this
1. Yes the first is comparison is the thief of joy, but if you are comparing yourself with an influencer or a rich person because you don’t have many followers or much money, the chances are you will begin to feel low and almost indirectly subconsciously conform to that persons narrative. You will Be more likely to believe or listen to them on their own matters and personal opinions irrespective of what the truth actually is. Why is this a problem?
2. Well the second point is it forces you to not think. It forces you to hold someone in such high esteem based off 1 or 2 traits you then loosely accept their views and don't give yourself the chance to conjure and manifest your own thoughts that's a dangerous place! You will just simply become a sheep and for what? Is it because you have a few less pounds in your account You are so worth more than that.
3. What about their other values and characteristics? Listen I am all for people creating wealth and earning shit loads of money. It'll eradicate many of your daily stresses and struggles, it’ll teach you money isn’t the be and end all and it’ll also hopefully, if you're a good person which I know you are if you made it this far or listen to these types of podcasts do more good in the world. But what about their integrity? Their values? Their charitable nature? Are they treating their spouse right? Do they treat the janitor at the local store the same way they treat investors or show themselves on social media? How do they speak to their parents, or their children? I could go on. But so often we look at what we are lacking, and try to find that in others.
4. Now this moves me onto point 4. We need to look at what we find inspiring in others and leave it there. We need to not compare, or down value ourselves and recognise that we all have our own journeys. You may have excelled far greater in compassion and kindness than financial gain. So now all you need to do is work out how to level up your finances, or social status or physique depending on what you need or desire. We need to move the conversation back to ourselves and work on masking our potential out so that we can in turn, be proud of ourselves. Progression is key in this and although I encourage looking t people for the blueprint or who have it as a reason why its possible for you, I never want it to be a reason why you disregard your own voice, your own skills and ability to do and become much more.
So I just wanted to leave it there as this is something I've done too. I've been doing work of service most my life. I've always tried to be as kind as possible, I've always remained loyal to my spouse, my friends and family. Yet I have too been in situations where I've held people in high regard because they’ve had more influential stance than me or more money. But now I don't. You see I recognised very quickly, my relationships and thoughts are the key to my own happiness. I have amazing relationships and as I progress I'm slowly having more empowering and greater thoughts. These thoughts in turn lead to better decisions and actions and my life is pretty kick ass right now!
Had I stayed in comparison mode, who knows how id feel about myself? Who knows how far id push myself or think for myself.
I do not want you to just be a drifter through your life, a term I took from an incredible book ill be filling you all in very soon!
Thanks for listening.

"I believe that love is action" by Wendy Adamson #78
Wendy Adamson, has a story that sounds like it is from a Hollywood movie. Almost so morbid and depressive, when we signal the events but one that has a bright light at the end of the tunnel. Distraught and riddled with adversity, Wendy has seen her own mother who was diagnosed Schizophrenic commit suicide. She has seen first hand the problems drugs and alcohol can have on a family. Yet during her early years she was unable to change her circumstances and her choices led to her having a psychotic breakdown and following the footsteps of her mom.
To make things worse, Wendy then ended up shooting at the mistress of her husband and found her life spiralling out of control straight into country jail. Needing to now take action, and accountable for her decisions and choices Wendy started with forgiveness. She began to show her sons the love of a mother through her actions. Now a women of service Wendy shares her stories of adversity and experience to help others. Someone who is an author, a motivational speaker and activity. Wendy is such a courageous women who speaks her truth to inspire and help others.
A truly incredible story, and having experienced the effects of alcohol in my own family, I ordered her book straight after this show to hopefully give hope to my family who are struggling with addiction. it always helps having a blueprint, of someone who has overcome the trauma, ptsd and problems we have experienced in our lives.

"Perfect doesn't exist" - Aren Deu #77
Perfectionism is nothing to be proud of. Trust me, I used to wear it as a badge of honour daily. However, I have since realised it was just an excuse to not take action, to procrastinate and just delay my goals. So having had some recent feedback from listeners, who believed I had it all figured out, I felt it necessary to share the truth. (YouTube video, will be out tomorrow)
Also it is my goal, to ensure the listeners of find your voice aren't just talkers. Instead, I want you to be doers, to be action takers and be about it!! Finding your voice is about taking control of your life, overcoming your struggles and adversity and yes Finding Your Voice.
So off the back of a few listeners, one in particular, thinking I had my anxiety shyness conquered, oh you are so wrong!
Remember I am about as normal as you can get and just like you all. I get stressed, worried, nervous and anxious. I get frustrated, angry
overwhelmed too. To make matters worse, I know how to conquer many of these emotions, or at least control them. I have so much wisdom from my guests that I sometimes know the right thing to do, but even then I don't always do it.
So listen, it's okay to feel crappy, act crappy and be crappy on the odd occasion. Just remember not to make it a habit. The point is we just need to move forward from that, and we just need to try better next time. I guess that comes down to the right habits and discipline, executing and course correcting.
So whatever you have in your heart, feel it.
Whatever you have in your mind, speak it.
Whatever you want to do, just go out and do it please.
If one thing I learned this week is that life its just too bloody fragile.
I want to send my thoughts and condolences to the friends and family of those who lost someone in the tragic helicopter crash.
RIP (apologies if I pronounce this wrong):
Ara Zobayan
Sarah Chester
Payton Chester
Christina Mauser
Keri Altobelli
John Altobelli
Alyssa Altobelli
GigI Bryant
‘& Kobe Bryant
I want to also leave you on a quote that I saw from twitter that I just hope will stop you procrastinating and take note of the important things in your life, cherish them and make the most of every single second you have in this beautiful world.
“Leaving your home and getting back safely is such an underrated blessing”

"I was once the king of failing" - Aren Deu #75
We will all fail at things in our life. Or how I now like to say, we will all have many opportunities in our life to learn and grow from things that didn't quite go according to plan. These opportunities are moments that we must acknowledge as important timestamps in our life that will help us level up. They will help us become wiser, gain invaluable experience and teach us so much about ourselves. It is for this reason alone, I want to encourage you all to stretch your comfort zone and begin to embrace 'failure'. Give yourselves the opportunities to become better by learning in the midst of obstacles and challenges that life will throw your way. The 3 points I discuss in this episode are shown below and I sincerely hope they add value.
Thanks for listening.

"Making a difference matters at any scale" by Chris Bello #74
An incredible story from a wonderful guy. Chris Bello echoes a life so similar to my own. Giving up work without a backup plan, jumping into real estate and also having a podcast to help impact and empower people. Also alongside this, Chris has gone on a similar personal development journey where he now sees himself as someone able to advise and help people overcome their mindset issues and improve their productivity hacks.
A conversation I thoroughly enjoyed and one I guess that made me feel better about some decisions in my life I often roll my eyes up at. Yet the one thing we both have in common more than just our job titles, is our true desire to serve and impact more people. Making a difference matters at any scale, regardless of whether its 1 person or 1 million and this is a mantra we both live by. A great individual who I highly recommend you follow post this show and if you are interested in freebies, check his links out below & subscribe to his podcast:

"Live peacefully doing what you love" by Evan Bradley Johnson #72
Evan Bradley Johnson dropped out of college, when he recognised quickly the corporate life was not for him. He wanted to be an entrepreneur, and that he did. He took over from his mothers business and has not looked back since. A different perspective, for the listeners of find your voice, that I hope you find useful. Finding Your Voice, or your way in life, can come through any avenue. Now I never want to prescribe something so matter of fact to you, without at least giving a balanced argument.
But the one thing I would strongly suggest you all do, moving forward in 2020, is to look at your life and see if its making you truly happy and fulfilled. If it is not, then you may need to reassess and look at where you need to go. Once you have this, I urge you to reverse engineer the process and find a way of becoming that person worthy and capable of living out those dreams.
Some great honest insights from an entrepreneur that aren't often discussed too within this episode that I am sure, those experienced or even newbies embarking on the journey will benefit from. Other topics discussed were finding things that make you happy and the importance of mindset.
Some Key Time stamps:

[07:28] The Best & Worst thing about being an entrepreneur
[16:50] Never forget how far you have come

[25:40] Taking time for the things that you enjoy
Key Quotes by Evan:
"it's okay to have goals and try to achieve, but try to remember to take a step back and remember that there is a life happening to you in this moment, and its okay to take a breathe and enjoy that".
"Nothing is a perfectly great answer"
