Today's story belongs to Arta Rexhepi from Kosovo (and from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia).

With grief and loss, comes hope and new beginnings. Meet Arta, a Kosovo-born woman who had to flee her country during the war and start anew with her family in Canada. She moved 25 years ago, went to college to graduate in journalism and now, Arta has a family and a life in Nova Scotia. She now shares her experience in Kosovo, living in refugee camps, life as a new Canadian and her advice to fellow new Canadians trying to navigate a new life.

This is a story about vulnerability, learning new things and being proud of where you're from, while also embracing where you are.
