Over the last year I've worked hard to correct a lot of habits that were stressing out my nervous system, raising my cortisol levels, and contributing to PMS symptoms. As usual, I'm still a work in progress and nothing is perfect. BUT I feel the most calm and at peace in my body that I can remember. So I'm sharing with you today in hopes that my experience might help you too.

We're one full month into 2023 and many of us are working on our wellness goals. I heard a saying on a podcast that I thought I really connected with. That saying was "being in shape is awesome, but getting in shape sucks". When I heard that I thought, OMG that's so f*cking true! But as I've taken the last month to step up my running game and "get back in shape" I had a change of opinion around that saying and that mindset in general. I hope this reframe benefits you as you continue on your wellness journey.

I've spent the last few years on a journey of learning about myself and healing from anxiety and depression. Along the way, I've learned the importance of self care and really became protective of my energy. And while that is an amazing thing to be able to do for yourself, I also didn't really push myself out of my comfort zone too much and held myself back from growth along the way. I'm not upset about this because it's all part of the journey! BUT I'm ready to push myself this year in my workouts and in my work. I'm excited to continue to fine tune this line between self care and self sabotage and bring you along for the ride.

EEEKKK! I'm SO EXCITED about this next chapter of the podcast! I'm making a shift from focusing exclusively on moms to connecting with all women to support their health and wellbeing. It's the same Megan with a similar message and a whole new look.

The internet is flooded with fitness gurus who are shouting from the rooftops the best way to get fit, lose weight, etc. I'm here to remind you that YOU are the expert on you. There is no one size fits all solution to your health and wellness. I've fallen into the trap of believing these fitness influencers, profressionals, etc. that are available to me online know what's good for me more than I do. I'm slowing coming out of that and will be experimenting with some things that I believe work for me.
The holidays are a busy time for a lot of us and often a time that our wellness goals are set aside. Today, I'm sharing the 5 ways I'm committing to supporting my wellness through the holidays and into 2023.
