Skip self-love for now and maybe just working on not kicking the shit out of yourself?

You don't deserve the way you treat yourself. And the world isn't actually as craptastic as you imagine it is.

Focusing on the positive (yes, that all song) isn't just for weirdos in caftans at fancy retreats. It's what you need to do if you want to go from sad to happy. From muddling through to joyful abandon.

Nothing else changes until you change. And you don't change overnight. Patience, My Friend. Sometimes good things take time, and this is one of those times.

So take a deep breath and think the most truthful happy thought you can. Look at pretty things. Find the joy and the gratitude where you are.

It gets better if you let it. I'm rooting for you!

Can you do self-love wrong? Yeah, if you only think good thoughts but skip doing the good things - then you're only doing 1/2 of love.

If your partner said I love you, but every act was less than nice-would you believe their words? Nope.

(Hopefully not)

Do you trust yourself? To follow through on the promises you make...to yourself?
