EFF leader Julius Malema has blamed Zuma for the current spate of xenophobic attacks, saying he's responsible for the violence. Malema accused the president of having lost control of the country and his family. He says Zuma has also failed to engage Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini over alleged xenophobic remarks

President Jacob Zuma has called for an end to the xenophobic attacks around the country. Speaking at the unveiling of the Chris Hani Memorial and Wall of Remembrance in Boksburg, on the East Rand, Zuma said that no amount of economic hardship and discontent will ever justify attacking foreign nationals who own shops and other businesses:

Cellphones and a computer were seized from forensic investigator Paul O'Sullivan's home in Sandown during a police raid ealier today.
